Winner of the Golden Horn - Safta Awards for best music composition for film.

Muriel, together with Ghalik Jacobs - Little River Productions - were awarded the award for best composition on the film Confessions of a Gambler movie screened in SA, North America, Dubai and Spain.

Finalist in the International Songwriting competition 2008 with song "Esa Morena".
